Best of Dominica Island Tours with Fredos Tours

Appropriately called Waitikubuli (meaning Tall is her body) by its early settlers; the Caribs, Dominica is well known for its mountainous topography and is home to some of the tallest peaks in the English speaking Lesser Antilles.  Come and tour or take a hike with us to some of the islands' tallest peaks and discover the many wonders which lay hidden in our wonderful rain forests.  Enjoy some of our spectacular views, soothing sounds, cascading waterfalls, serene lakes, crystal clear rivers, and inviting pools.

 

1. Carib Reserve, Emerald Pool, Layou Valley, Mr. Nice Fruits Stand, Botanical Gardens, Mourne Bruce and back to the ship. 6 – 6 1/2 hrs.  On our way, you will see the village of Castle Bruce, go through the rain forest, and more, while on your way back, we will go through Belfast, (one of our main factories where we produce soap, oil, tooth paste, rum and other supplies), the villages of massacre (got its name because of a massacre there a few hundred years ago) mahaut and canefield.

2. Fresh Water Lake, Rainforest, Trafalgar Falls, Sulphur Springs, Botanical Gardens, Mourne Bruce (on the Mourne, where you have a breathtaking view of the capital city, Roseau) and back to the ship. 3-4 hrs. We will go through small hamlets like silver lake, louiseville, and then on to the rain forest, Banana plantations, Wotten Waven, Copthall and more. In the capital city - Roseau there is the roman catholic cathedral built in the 18th century (the oldest church on the island), Botanical gardens where you will see Dominica's National Bird, a tree growing in a bus and more and then on to Mourne Bruce, where you get a picturesque view of the capital city and have the opportunity to take photos, with your ship in the background.

3. Fresh Water Lake, Rainforest, Trafalgar Falls, Sulphur Springs, Titou Gorge, Botanical Gardens and Mourne Bruce (on the Mourne, where you get a picturesque view of the capital city - Roseau) and back to the ship. 5 - 6hrs. We will go through the rain forest, and more, while on your way back, we will go through Belfast, (one of our main factories where we produce soap, oil, tooth paste, rum and other supplies), the villages of massacre ( got its name because of a massacre there a few hundred years ago) mahaut and canefield. You will also get the opportunity to see black sand beaches.

4. Emerald Pool, Trafalgar Falls, Rainforest, Layou Valley, Mr. Nice Fruits Stand, Botanical Gardens, Mourne Bruce and back to the ship.  5 - 6 hrs.  We will visit the rain forest, while on your way back, we will go through Belfast, (one of our main factories where we produce soap, oil, tooth paste, rum and other supplies), the villages of massacre ( got its name because of a massacre there a few hundred years ago) mahaut and canefield. You will also get the opportunity to see black sand beaches (volcanic activity). You will also get to see many more things while on tour.

5. Rainforest Aerial Tram, Trafalgar Falls, Sulphur Springs, Botanical Gardens, Mourne Bruce (on the mourne where you get a picturesque view of the capital city Roseau) and back to the ship. 4-5 hrs.  We will go through small hamlets like silver lake and Louisville, and then on to the rain forest, banana plantations, Wotten Waven, coptall, go through the village of laudat to get to the tram and much more. In the capital city - Roseau there is the roman catholic cathedral built in the 18th century (the oldest church on the island), Botanical gardens where you will see Dominica's National Bird, a tree growing in a bus and more and then on to Mourne Bruce, where you get a picturesque view of the capital city have the opportunity to take photos with your ship in the background.

Our prices range from US$20 to US$115 pp. You are also required to purchase a site pass at a cost of US$2 pp per site, which is paid to the site warden.
